Refund and Cancellation Policy — Basyt Chat

Last updated: June 30, 2026

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how Basyt LLC, a company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States of America, handles subscriptions, cancellations, renewals, fees, and refund requests related to Basyt Chat.

This Policy applies to your use of the Basyt Chat website, platform, services, applications, APIs, integrations, and any related services or features. This Policy is a supplemental part of the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and any other written agreement between you and Basyt.

By using the Service, subscribing to any plan, or completing any payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Policy.

1. Who We Are and Scope of This Policy

Basyt, we, us, our, or the Company means Basyt LLC.

This Policy applies to:

  • Monthly, annual, or custom subscriptions.
  • Free trials or promotional offers where available.
  • Plan fees, add-on features, and additional usage fees.
  • Cancellation, refund, or billing error requests.
  • Channel, message, or third-party service fees when connected to use of the Service.

The Basyt Service may operate through basyt.chat, basyt.com, or any domains or subdomains owned, controlled, or used by Basyt LLC to operate the Service.

2. Nature of the Service

Basyt Chat is a digital SaaS service for businesses, stores, and professional teams. Once an account, subscription, or feature is activated, the Customer may receive immediate access to a digital platform, operational resources, integrations, channels, credits, or service settings.

For this reason, refund policies for digital services and subscriptions differ from physical products. There are no physical goods to ship or return, and some resources or fees may be consumed immediately once the Service is activated or used.

3. Subscriptions and Plans

Basyt may offer monthly plans, annual plans, custom plans, or paid add-ons. Prices, features, and limits are described on the pricing page, checkout page, offer, invoice, or separate agreement.

Plans may include limits such as the number of Users, active contacts, AI credits, documents, channels, integrations, or available features.

You are responsible for reviewing plan details, limits, and fees before subscribing, upgrading, or renewing.

4. Free Trials and Promotional Offers

Basyt may offer free trials, promotional offers, or discounts from time to time. The terms of each trial or offer are described on the relevant pricing page, offer page, checkout page, or related communication.

Offering a free trial or promotion at one time does not obligate Basyt to provide it permanently or to all Customers.

If a trial requires a payment method, it may convert to a paid subscription when the trial ends according to the terms presented at signup. You are responsible for canceling the trial before it converts to a paid subscription if you do not wish to continue.

5. Automatic Renewal

Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions may renew automatically at the end of each billing period using the payment method on file.

You authorize Basyt or its third-party payment provider to charge renewal fees according to the selected plan unless you cancel the subscription before the renewal date through the available mechanisms.

Failed payments, expired payment methods, or declined transactions may result in restricted, suspended, or canceled access to some features or the Service.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription through account settings where available, or by contacting support at:

[email protected]

After cancellation, you may continue to access paid features until the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated, or unless the account is terminated due to violation of the Terms of Service, abuse, security risk, or legal request.

Cancellation generally prevents future renewals, but it does not automatically refund fees already paid or fees for the current billing period.

7. General Refund Rule

Unless required by applicable law, fees paid to Basyt are not automatically refundable, including fees for monthly or annual subscriptions, renewals, used periods, activated features, or consumed resources.

However, Basyt may review certain limited refund requests at its reasonable discretion, in accordance with this Policy, the Terms of Service, and applicable laws.

Submitting a refund request does not guarantee approval.

For subscriptions purchased through Paddle, Paddle.com acts as the Merchant of Record and authorised reseller. For those purchases, the Paddle Buyer Terms and the Paddle Refund Policy apply, including a 14-day refund window with no exceptions, and refunds are requested from and handled by Paddle directly via paddle.net. Nothing in this Policy limits or overrides that right.

8. Cases Where We May Consider a Refund

Basyt may consider refund requests in limited cases, such as:

  1. A clear billing error, such as an incorrect charge caused by a technical issue.
  2. An accidental duplicate charge for the same account or invoice.
  3. A material failure by Basyt to make the paid Service available for a meaningful period, where the issue was not caused by Customer settings, channel providers, third parties, or events outside Basyt’s control.
  4. A request related to a first paid charge, if submitted within 14 days from the payment date, and there has been no substantial use of the Service, consumption of paid resources, connection of channels, or significant operational setup.
  5. Any other case that Basyt, at its discretion, determines deserves special handling to preserve fairness and customer trust.

We may request additional information to review the request, such as the invoice number, account email, reason for the request, and usage records related to the case.

9. Cases Usually Not Eligible for Refund

The following cases are usually not eligible for a refund, unless required by law or agreed otherwise in writing by Basyt:

  • Forgetting to cancel before a renewal date.
  • Not using the Service after payment while the Service was available.
  • Changing your mind after subscribing or renewing, except within any applicable money-back window or where required by the Paddle Buyer Terms or applicable law.
  • The Service not matching expectations that were not stated on the pricing page, documentation, or agreement.
  • Canceling after the current billing period has started.
  • Substantial use of the Service during the paid period.
  • Consuming AI credits, messages, channels, or resources.
  • Connecting channels or integrations and running custom setup or significant configuration.
  • Suspension or termination of the account due to violation of the Terms of Service, channel policies, or abuse.
  • Issues caused by an external provider, channel, or platform outside Basyt’s control, unless Basyt is directly responsible for the issue.

10. Annual Plans and Custom Contracts

Basyt may offer annual plans, custom contracts, or special pricing. These plans may include discounts or commercial terms based on a longer commitment.

Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, fees for annual plans or custom contracts are not refundable after the paid period begins.

If an annual plan or custom contract is terminated before the end of its term, this does not automatically result in a prorated refund for the remaining period, unless Basyt agrees in writing or applicable law requires otherwise.

11. Upgrades, Downgrades, and Plan Changes

If you upgrade your plan, additional fees or prorated charges may apply depending on the timing of the upgrade and the billing method.

If you downgrade your plan, the downgrade may take effect at the end of the current billing period or according to the mechanism available inside the Service. Downgrading generally does not automatically refund the remaining period of the higher plan.

Changing plans may result in loss of access to certain features, limits, channels, or capacity. You should review the effect of the change before making it.

12. Non-Refundable Fees

Even if a partial or full refund of certain Basyt fees is approved, some fees may not be refundable, such as:

  • Payment provider or payment processing fees.
  • Channel, message, or conversation fees.
  • External service or third-party fees.
  • Taxes or government charges where regulations do not allow refunding them.
  • Resources, credits, or services that have been consumed.
  • Setup, configuration, or custom services that have already been performed.

These fees may be deducted from any approved refund amount where applicable.

13. Channel, Message, and Third-Party Fees

Some Basyt features may use external channels or service providers that charge independent or variable fees, such as message, conversation, template, or connected service fees.

These fees may be charged by third parties or tied to actual resource usage, and may not be refundable after they are consumed or incurred.

A channel rejection, number suspension, message delay, or policy change by a third party does not automatically create a right to a refund of Basyt fees unless the issue was directly caused by a material error by Basyt.

14. Taxes

Fees may be subject to taxes or government charges depending on your location, company location, type of service, or applicable laws.

You are responsible for paying any taxes or fees due that are not collected directly through Basyt. If taxes or government charges are collected, they may not be refundable except as required by applicable laws or competent authorities.

15. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund review, you must contact us at:

[email protected]

Please include the following information:

  • The email address associated with the account.
  • Company or store name.
  • Invoice number or payment identifier, if available.
  • Payment date.
  • Reason for the refund request.
  • Any details or documents that help us review the request.

We may reject the request or ask for additional information if we cannot verify the account, transaction, or reason for the request.

16. Refund Review Time

We aim to review refund requests within a reasonable period after receiving all required information.

If a refund request is approved, the time it takes for the funds to appear on your payment method depends on the payment provider, bank, or card issuer. Basyt does not control how long banks or payment providers take to display the amount after we issue it.

17. Refund Method

When a refund is approved, the amount is usually returned to the original payment method used for the transaction, unless that is not possible or not appropriate according to Basyt’s discretion or payment provider requirements.

We may not be able to refund to a different payment method or different account for security, legal, or anti-fraud reasons.

18. Disputes and Chargebacks

If you have a concern about a payment, we ask that you contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to resolve the issue directly.

Opening a bank dispute, chargeback, or reversal request without contacting us may result in account suspension or restricted access to the Service while the dispute is reviewed, and may affect our ability to handle the request internally.

We reserve the right to provide evidence to the payment provider, card network, or bank in connection with a dispute, including subscription records, usage records, invoices, Terms of Service, and refund policies.

19. Abuse of the Refund Policy

Basyt may deny refund requests, restrict accounts, or terminate accounts if we detect a pattern of abuse, such as:

  • Repeatedly subscribing and requesting refunds after using the Service.
  • Providing false or misleading information.
  • Substantially using the Service and later claiming it was not used.
  • Opening repeated payment disputes without a reasonable basis.
  • Attempting to bypass plan limits, fees, or payment terms.

20. Termination for Violation

If your account is suspended or terminated due to violation of the Terms of Service, abuse, unauthorized messaging, fraud, security risk, or violation of channel or third-party policies, you may not be eligible for any refund of amounts paid, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

21. Mandatory Legal Rights

This Policy is not intended to limit any rights that cannot be limited under applicable laws. If the laws of your country or state grant you mandatory refund rights that cannot be waived, those rights will be respected to the extent required by law.

If there is a conflict between this Policy and a mandatory applicable law, that law prevails only to the extent of the conflict.

In addition, for purchases processed by Paddle, the Paddle Buyer Terms (including their refund rights) apply, and nothing in this Policy limits those rights. Where this Policy is more restrictive than the Paddle Buyer Terms for those purchases, the Paddle Buyer Terms prevail to the extent of the conflict.

22. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Refund and Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, plans, billing methods, payment provider requirements, or applicable laws.

We will post the updated version on the website with a new “Last updated” date. Updates apply to payments, renewals, or requests made after the updated Policy is posted, unless otherwise stated or required by law.
